About the Role

The Opportunity

Join Mineral Technologies as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and play a key role in delivering innovative engineering solutions across major resources projects.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll lead mechanical design activities from concept through to detailed design, managing technical deliverables, budgets and schedules while ensuring safety, quality and project objectives are achieved. You'll also provide technical leadership, mentor developing engineers and build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders. 

 

What we're looking for

You're an experienced Mechanical Engineer with 10 to 15 years of design engineering experience across mining, minerals processing, industrial or related sectors.

You'll bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and current RPEQ registration

  • Membership of a recognised professional engineering body such as Engineers Australia or AusIMM

  • Proven experience across study and detailed design phases

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping design, Australian Standards and mining industry regulations

  • Experience managing project deliverables, budgets and schedules

  • Strong communication, problem solving and stakeholder engagement skills

  • A collaborative approach with a passion for mentoring and developing others

Experience with wet mineral processing plants is essential, while exposure to hydraulic systems, dry materials handling, construction, commissioning, mineral sands or iron ore projects will be highly regarded.
