The Role
The Associate, Client Onboarding sits within IFM’s Client Service team and is at the forefront
of the operational client experience at IFM, responsible for managing the end-to-end operational
client onboarding process and related reporting.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Manage the end-to-end onboarding of new investors and clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing updates and responding to onboarding queries.
Coordinate and oversee client restructures, account changes, and other significant lifecycle events.
Review and validate investor documentation, including FATCA and CRS requirements.
Conduct AML/KYC reviews and risk assessments to support regulatory compliance requirements.
Assist with regulatory and compliance reporting obligations.
Review team deliverables to ensure a high standard of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Provide guidance and support to team members, helping to maintain strong client service and technical standards.
Partner with teams across the business to deliver a high standard of client service and operational support.
Your Background and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in client onboarding, tax services or AML/KYC compliance roles within fund managers, fund administrators or custodians that deal with institutional clients.
- Tertiary qualification in business, management, financial services or a related field.
- Previous institutional FATCA and CRS validation experience, as well as having dealt with AML/KYC processes essential.
- Broad understanding of the financial services industry, operation of superannuation/pension funds, in particular client service and tax service functions
- Strong working knowledge of MS suite including excel, powerpoint, outlook, lists, planner, project and Salesforce/CRM databases.
