Recovery Driver

As a Recovery Driver, you will ensure safe delivery / collection of all customers vehicles. You will be responsible for marking all damage on vehicles with chalk pen before taking images.

Responsibilities of a Recovery Driver will include:

  • Complete all Job Pack paperwork neatly and legibly and obtain signatures where required.

  • Ensure Customer Vehicle Condition Report is complete in addition to any images taken before passing to Estimators.

  • Comply with the Drivers Tacho Break Regulation 2009 (if applicable).

  • Policy Excess, VAT Bills and Private Quotes – ensure payment has been taken before leaving site – if payment has not been paid, query with the Transport Manager.

  • Ensure courtesy cars are up to standard and safe for customer use. Report any defects or damage to Transport Manager immediately

  • Ensure you follow the correct procedure when dealing with customer complaints.

  • Move cars in/ out of the workshop at the start or end of the day

  • Wash customer or courtesy cars where necessary

Skills and experience required as a Recovery Driver:

  • Must be over 21 and have a full UK driving license.

  • Driver Qualification Card

  • C1E or CE licence categories

  • You will be required to drive various vehicles within the driving license categories you hold.

  • Requires regular physical activity, including the movement and securing of vehicles, as well as lifting equipment.

  • Digi Driver Card

  • Experience in vehicle recovery is preferable

  • Team Player who uses initiative, be flexible and have a can-do attitude.

  • Cultural and organisational insight and takes responsibility for own actions.
