About the Role

Being a Distribution Key Account Manager is an exciting task, since you are the superhero, our clients need. You know what setup of our solutions will satisfy their needs; therefore, these here are your most important tasks:
  • Manage and develop strategic distribution accounts across Germany and Austria, building long-term, value-based partnerships.
  • Drive distributor growth through joint business plans, pipeline development, target tracking, and identification of new sales opportunities.
  • Act as the central internal contact for assigned customers, coordinating closely with Sales, Product Management, Technical Sales, Service, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and HQ
  • .Be a product expert for Sungrow PV and energy-storage solutions; continuously build and share knowledge on product releases, applications, technical requirements, and value propositions
  • Enable distributor sales teams and installers through product presentations, technical-commercial trainings, webinars, workshops, and joint customer visits
  • Support distribution partners in customer opportunities by translating technical requirements into compelling commercial solutions
  • Benchmark Sungrow products against competitors from both a commercial and technical perspective, and provide structured market and customer feedback.
  • Support product launches and market rollouts by ensuring partners are prepared, trained, and able to present Sungrow’s solutions effectively.
  • Help strengthen Sungrow’s local service structure by aligning distributor expectations with service processes, escalation routes, and technical support capabilities
  • Represent Sungrow at customer events, industry conferences, trade fairs, and installer activities throughout Germany and Austria.

Your profile

All right, all right, so I hope you are now aware of what is up for you, what background should you have in order to feel comfortable with this role? Keep in mind it`s all about electrical equipment, that`s the reason why it is essential for you to have:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a comparable technical discipline. Candidates with a strong technical vocational background and relevant commercial potential are also welcome.
  • Experience in a technical, product, technical-sales, partner-success, distribution, or customer-facing role within photovoltaics, energy storage, electrical equipment, or a related industry
  • Practical product knowledge of PV inverters, battery storage, electrical systems, or comparable energy technologies
  • Ability to explain complex technical topics in a clear, customer-oriented, and commercially relevant way.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Structured, proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the confidence to manage multiple stakeholders and follow issues through to resolution
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Germany, Austria, and occasionally Europe.
  • Fluency in both (German and English) at least level C1
