Clarke Power is looking for a Foreman - Diesel Technician/ Fleet Mechanic to join our team!  


Are you a LEAD Diesel Mechanic looking for a good new opportunity as a Foreman? 

Join our team providing excellence in customer service and safety while providing fleet maintenance including engine, transmission, and electrical diagnosis.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage shop workload by Prioritizing and assigning current workload and scheduled workload
  • Follow up on any outside repairs with vendors via phone and email
  • Utilize proprietary fleet management software to monitor/schedule upcoming work
  • Use of smartphone, laptop and tablet technology to record repairs/inspections on trucks, trailers, and autos
  • Repair trucks, trailers, autos during high workload or during tech absence/vacation
  • Major shop tools and diagnostic equipment is provided
  • Assist other technicians with diagnostics
  • Work with branch manager closely on monitoring key performance indicators
  • Review and closeout service orders when repairs are complete
  • Inventory – monitor inventory and review service orders for correct parts billing

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. 
  • The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. 
  • The associate must be able to  regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.  
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years Fleet or Dealer  experience
  • Preferred Diesel Program Certificate or degree from college or technical school 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  •  Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.  
  • No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).  
  •  Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
