About the Role
Description
Position Status: Full-Time
Supervisor: Clinic Manager
What You’ll Do:
- Greets customers in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner. Provides any necessary instruction/directions. Informs appropriate department/person of customer’s arrival.
- Updates patient information (such as insurance cards, driver’s license, authorizations, and referrals).
- Administers tablets for completion of personal health information including privacy policies and financial policies.
- Collects co-payments, deductibles and outstanding balances such as out-of-pocket expenses.
- Give detailed explanation of benefits and financial agreements.
- Answers phones in a pleasant manner and deals with customer needs expeditiously.
- Schedules follow-up appointments, as required by physician teams.
- Enters charges into computer system.
- Prints charge tickets and necessary paperwork for “next day clinic”.
- Balance daily collections with time of service payment, summary report, and prepares deposit slip.
- Daily: Carries out appropriate actions related to hold and practice buckets.
- Accepts deliveries, logs and distributes to appropriate parties
Requirements
What You’ll Need:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least one-year work experience in a clinical setting, or equivalent experience in a customer service role.
- Must have exceptional customer service skills. Familiarity with insurance benefits is a plus. Must be computer literate, with basic knowledge of MS office products, and general office machines such as fax, copier, etc..
- Must have the ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced work environment, and demonstrate team cooperation.
- Other duties to be assigned as necessary and may vary at times, as needed by your immediate supervisor or as directed by the company.
