About the Role

The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is the Catholic Church in Northeast Kansas: Growing as Disciples of Jesus; Making Disciples for Jesus, is seeking a Data Entry Clerk working in the Office of Development. This position inputs donations accurately and timely into the fundraising database systems and maintains donor information with complete confidentiality. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site, and is benefits eligible.  Normal work hours with the exception of evening or weekend donor events a few times each year.


Duties and Responsibilities:

· Daily entry of donations received via mail to the Archdiocese.

· Assist with processing mail daily with the Accounting team.

· Assist with prompt and accurate acknowledgement to donors of gifts.

· Assist donors calling in with questions or updating payment information.

· Process cash gifts and prepare for deposit.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Demonstrate commitment to the Catholic Church and mission.

· Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills.

· Database and Excel knowledge.

· Excellent typing and 10-key accuracy.

· Strong listening skills.

· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

· Maintain confidentiality.


Qualifications

· High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred.

· Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience in data entry, accounting, bookkeeping, bank experience, or gift processing is preferred.

· Previous experience with donor database software such as Virtuous, Donor Perfect, Raiser’s Edge, or experience in sales database such as Salesforce, etc., preferred.

· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially Excel, and other communication technology and the ability to learn new technology as needed.

· Practicing Catholic in good standing is helpful, and preferred.
