About the Role

Description

This position is responsible for receiving, verifying material/quantity against requisitions and production orders and staging stock used for printing. Maintains files, logs and inputs electronic data of materials received and issued. Verifies stock size to image, cuts stock to correct size. Issues jobs to presses, ensures all presses are stocked with appropriate supplies. Operates forklifts, compactors, bailing machines, and various hand tools. Maintains cleanliness of material staging areas, cutters and cutting areas when used, removes trash, and assists in other areas of the warehouse or other departments as needed. Work from requisitions to properly pull, stage or deliver various raw materials used in the processes throughout the company to meet production and shipping goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Issues and delivers stock to presses as directed

· Completing administrative and electronic functions for and materials received and issued

· Inventory preparation and cycle counting

· Operate forklift, other machinery, and various hand tools

· Assisting in other warehouse areas or departments as needed

· Verifies print image to stock size

· Keeps presses stocked with supplies

· Checking materials against requisitions when delivered and against production orders

• Communicate problems with supervisor or warehouse manager

· Maintaining cleanliness of material staging area

Education and Experience:

· High School diploma or GED equivalent

· Practical warehouse, order pulling and inventory control experience preferred

· Forklift experience

· Possess a valid Driver’s License (For purpose of obtaining forklift certification)

· Computer literate

· Work scheduled mandatory weekends and overtime

· Work well on a team and contribute positively to GSP culture


Physical demands:

· Standing: Standing for entire assigned shift

· Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (Includes upward pulling) of up to 50 lbs

· Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder

· Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction

· Climbing: Stepping up and down ladders up to 16 feet

· Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds by ear

· Feeling: Ability to identify texture of material such as if lamination has been applied and being able to distinguish different gauges of material thickness

· Talking: Verbal communication including giving instruction and exchanging information with necessary detail and delivery

· Hearing: Communication including listening to people convey instructions or conversation, and distinguishing noises from machines and within the plant
