About the Role

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking an experienced MC Truck Driver (A-Double) to join our Landside Logistics team, based at our Port of Brisbane, QLD site. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of containers and freight across metropolitan and regional routes, ensuring customer delivery requirements are met on time. You will work closely with our operations team to support daily transport activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.

This is a permanent FULL – TIME position working Monday to Friday, with overtime.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Safely operate MC A-Double vehicles in accordance with road transport legislation and company procedures.
  • Complete scheduled container deliveries and collections while meeting customer timeframes.
  • Conduct daily pre-start vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Accurately complete transport documentation and electronic records.
  • Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with customers, port operators, and internal stakeholders.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Current MC (Multi Combination) Licence with demonstrated A-Double driving experience.
  • Current MSIC Card
  • Previous experience in container transport, wharf cartage, or the logistics industry.
  • Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements.
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing delivery schedules.
