About the Role

Job Summary:

Assists the management of day-to-day functionality of the Corporate Planning and Projecting System.

 Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Communicates planning objectives strategies and timelines and provides support to end users. 
  • Ensures that Purchase Orders and customer orders are maintained and completed as appropriate for sales and profitability standards- minimize shrink
  • Assists in monitoring and responding to email inquiries for support from various teams regarding BOPIP DROP SHIP Marketplace fulfillment
  • Coordinates data and provides reports for weekly monthly and quarterly meetings with Senior Management to analyze review and highlight opportunities or failures in the process. 
  • Assists the Manager of Fulfillment Operations with collecting reports and reviewing current business trends to highlight potential risks and opportunities.
  • Analyzes past sales and order completion rates with current online trends to anticipate future trends and identify problems 
  • Assist in onboarding new vendors for Drop Ship and training buyers as needed to understand and launch new vendors and assortment changes
  • Assists in the collection of data for updates on the BOPIP program and communicates with stores to provide support and data as required. 

     

  • Compiles financial data and ensures reports and documentation are error-free and distributed to appropriate personnel and posted on the intranet.
  • Assists with maintaining Active Community Profiles for suppliers and supports EDI Business Team in the completion and renewal of E-commerce Trading Partner Agreements.
  • Facilitates recurring dialogue with Vendor Buyer e-commerce team and EDI Business Team to track onboarding progress through all phases of Drop Ship onboarding leading to go-live.
  • Runs and disseminates pre-scheduled Merchandise reports as required.
  • Assists in the creation of training documentation.
  • Engages with the vendors and merchant teams on return policies and procedures and partners with the White Glove Team to ensure a premier customer experience.
  • Monitors customer return rates and defective damage issues and alerts the merchant teams of vendor carrier performance deficiencies and corrective action required. Performs other duties as assigned


GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience which was gained in administrative professional analytical technical or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain knowledge of retail merchandising and procurement practices skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships ability to exercise mature judgments. 

OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: 1 year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of general experience up to a maximum of a 4-year bachelor s degree for 3 years of general experience. 

AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:1 year of progressively responsible experience which provided experience in a wide variety of analytical and evaluative reports procurements practices methods and procedures within the Navy Exchange System for a retail merchandise department or a comparable private sector organization experience in spreadsheet and word processing applications i.e. Excel MS Word .
