About The Company
SkyPark at Santa's Village is an outdoor adventure park located at the iconic California theme park, Santa's Village, near Lake Arrowhead. Our main attraction in the warmer months is our world-class mountain biking trails and our zip line, where our guests soar over 30'​ above the forest floor for 600 exhilarating feet. Most of our attractions are people powered: pedal cars, roller and ice skating rink, climbing tower and bouldering walls, strider bikes, archery, hiking, fly-fishing, and mountain biking. We have fun shops with unique gifts, restaurants, a bakery, a candy and ice cream store, and a coffee shop. SkyPark is a safe and fun place where active families and friends can reconnect with each other and nature.
About the Role

Description

As a Zipline/B-Rail operator, you are responsible for supporting the Zipline attraction and B-Rail aerial biking attraction. The Zipline and B-Rail Attractions are technical attractions and requires specific training to operate. Operators must complete in-house training which includes: minimum hours of supervised operation, rescue training, belay training, reading and knowing the operations manuals, and passing written knowledge exams. As an operator, you are expected to use an appropriate belay system at all times. Staff operators shall wear an appropriate OSHA compliant harness and helmet (provided). All staff operators shall be competent in knowing the difference between types of cables, lanyards and anchors, and be able to identify appropriate belay connection points at all times.


You will play a key role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for all visitors. Team members are expected to maintain awareness of potential issues, enforce safety protocols, and create a warm and welcoming environment within their assigned program area. 


This position requires professional communication and collaboration with staff from all areas. Zipline/B-Rail operators must be proactive in guest engagement, provide clear and accurate instruction on activity guidelines and equipment usage, and demonstrate a high level of adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic environments. A strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to exceptional guest service and safety are essential to this role.


This position is Part-Time and reports directly to the Outdoor Adventure Supervisor and Manager.


Requirements

  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (Adult and Infant) is required.
  • Note: SkyPark can provide certification training for new hires.
  • Be 18 years of age or older. 
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and willing to operate in elevated environments, from 30 feet to 45 feet in height for up to 8 hours per day. 
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
  • Lift and carry up to 70 lbs, with assistance.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending, climbing, standing, reaching, and walking for extended periods.
  • Report and arrive to all scheduled shifts on time.
  • Commit to and complete the In-House/OSHA Training requirements. Failure to complete will affect employment. Training is on-site and paid by SkyPark. 
  • Prioritize and ensure guest safety at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Determine facility access eligibility for each guest.
  • Attend and participate in all mandatory staff meetings.
  • Inspect equipment and structures using established procedures.
  • Completing proper documentation for each attraction daily.
  • Monitor and enforce all Outdoor Adventure attraction rules and safety guidelines including SkyPark’s Code of Conduct.
  • Observe and oversee guests’ activities; ensure safe practices.
  • While on duty at zipline, ability to remain in harness and helmet and be prepared to belay participants throughout the entire shift.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including tying proper knots, inspecting the equipment and course, putting away equipment, and general cleaning to maintain attraction appearance.
  • Maintain, clean, and properly store all program equipment; report any gear or safety concerns to management.
  • Perform weekly and required maintenance tasks 
  • Support instruction and technical equipment use as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to execute tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Outdoor Adventure Manager.
  • Genuine enthusiasm and commitment to creating positive guest experiences.
  • Willingness and ability to teach and interact with diverse groups in an outdoor setting.
  • Ability to quickly learn and consistently follow safety protocols across all attractions.
  • Friendly, team-oriented attitude toward guests and colleagues.


Preferred:

  • Knowledge or experience with adventure and education programs.
  • Familiarity with safety standards related to top rope climbing, auto-belays, spotting
  • Familiar with or have performed high ropes rescue
  • Third party certification such as ACCT Practitioner, or similar
