We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician


Balanced Body, the world's largest designer and manufacturer of Pilates equipment, is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join our team. You'll operate and maintain precision equipment, fabricate prototype parts and fixtures, and bring strong hands-on troubleshooting skills to a fast-paced, process-driven shop floor.

We're looking for someone detail-oriented and deadline-driven, comfortable working independently or as part of a team, and adaptable when priorities shift.


What you'll do

  • Operate manual mill, lathe, surface grinder, laser cutter, saws, shears, and related hand tools
  • Fabricate prototype parts, jigs, and fixtures from wood or metal
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Set up, inspect, calibrate, and maintain manufacturing equipment
  • Take dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments
  • Select the appropriate machine and settings for a given task
  • Maintain parts and supply inventory in the MRP system
  • Assist engineering team in setting up product testing-load cells, wear testing, lifecycle testing etc
  • Disassemble products to diagnose the root cause of failures
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production jigs and tooling
  • Apply quality tools and processes in day-to-day work
  • Take on other duties as needed to support the team.

Requirements

 What you bring 

  • 5+ years of experience in a machine shop environment
  • Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5M / GD&T standards and tolerance stack-up
  • Understanding of basic mechanical design principles
  • Experience with measurement and test equipment (calipers, micrometers, force gauges, CMM)
  • Knowledge of proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Strong math, mechanical, and coordination skills
  • Self-directed with excellent time management and the ability to prioritize shifting tasks under deadline pressure
  • A positive, can-do attitude and strong organizational habits
  • Forklift certification a plus.


Work Schedule: This position is onsite and full-time, Monday to Friday.
