We are seeking a Technical Asset Manager to oversee the technical performance of a portfolio of renewable energy assets (solar PV and battery storage). The role centres on performance monitoring, data analysis, and reporting, ensuring assets operate safely, efficiently, and in line with production and financial targets throughout their operational life.


Responsibilities

Monitoring & Performance Management

•   Monitor real-time and historical asset performance through SCADA and monitoring platforms.

•   Track and analyze key technical KPIs (Performance Ratio, availability, capacity factor, energy yield) against P50/budget expectations. Maximising production and billing of the power plant portfolio to meet or exceed the business plan, minimising downtime and maximising efficiency

•   Identify underperformance, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions with O&M contractors.

•   Oversee O&M and service providers, ensuring SLA and contractual availability guarantees are met.

Reporting & Analysis

•   Prepare periodic (monthly/quarterly/annual) technical and performance reports for management, investors, and lenders.

•   Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools; automate recurring analyses where possible.

•   Consolidate operational data into clear commentary explaining variances and trends.

•   Support financial reporting, budgeting, and OPEX/CAPEX forecasting with technical input.

Asset Optimization & Compliance

•   Recommend and implement performance-improvement and optimization initiatives.

•   Supporting the handover process from EPC to AM and O&M team during the commissioning of the plants.

•   Manage warranty and availability claims and track resolution. Support in insurance claim

•   Ensure compliance with grid codes, regulatory obligations, and HSE requirements.

•   Support due diligence for acquisitions, refinancing, and repowering as needed.

•   Assisting in providing information and maintaining relationships with stakeholders


Requirements

Experience & Education

•   5–6 years of experience in technical asset management or operations of renewable energy assets, with a strong focus on monitoring and reporting.

•   Degree in Electrical, Energy, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.

Technical Skills

•   Solid understanding of solar PV technology and plant operation.

•   Proficiency with monitoring/SCADA platforms and performance-analysis methodologies.

•   Advanced Excel; experience with Power BI, SQL, or Python for data analysis and reporting is a strong plus.

•   Familiarity with O&M contracts, availability guarantees, and warranty frameworks.

Soft Skills & Other

•   Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to translate data into actionable insight.

•   Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders (management, investors, lenders).

•   Strong relationship-building skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven capacity to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

•   Autonomous, organized, and able to manage multiple assets and deadlines.

•   Fluent English; [local language] preferred. Willingness to travel to sites as required.
