Assembly Supervisor
Job Summary and Key Objectives
In search for a high-energy, hands-on Assembly Supervisor to direct & supervise our Viking Assembly Machine operations. Ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day activity of the Assembly Machine operations and staffing for efficiency of manpower, machinery, and maximizing out-put production. The position will report to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Supervises safety, quality, employee relations, visual controls and assembly performance measures.
- Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
- Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
- Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
- Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
- Determines operations headcount needs and ensures compliance with company policy.
- Provides direction, development and leadership to production assembly employees.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualification and Education
- Five years’ experience in a Production Supervisor manufacturing environment.
- Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
- Bi-lingual a plus (English & Spanish)
- Computer skills: Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
