Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and well-organized Technical Engineer (Civil) to supporting the successful execution of roads and infrastructure projects in the UAE. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong technical knowledge of civil engineering, particularly in roads and infrastructure construction. The Technical Office Engineer will be responsible for managing and controlling project documentation, technical submittals, quantity surveying, and providing technical support to the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and ITPs

  • Coordinate with consultants and clients to obtain approvals

  • Track, follow up, and close submittals within project timelines

  • Maintain submittal logs and approval records

  • Provide technical support to site teams

  • Resolve technical queries and construction-related issues

  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents

  • Prepare technical reports and presentations

  • Monitor site works for compliance with approved documents

  • Assist with RFI and NCR preparation, review, and closure

  • Attend project and technical meetings

  • Provide technical input and recommendations

  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients

  • Establish and maintain document control systems

  • Manage drawings, specifications, method statements, submittals, and correspondence

  • Ensure timely distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders

  • Maintain registers for drawings, submittals, RFIs, and correspondence

  • Archive project documents in accordance with company and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum 3-8 years of experience in roads and infrastructure projects in the UAE

  • RAK project experience is an advantage

  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices

  • Good understanding of UAE construction standards and regulations

  • Experience with FIDIC contracts is a plus

  • UAE driving license preferred but not essential
