Social and Content Consultant

We're looking for a Social Media & Content Consultant to join our Member Growth & Marketing team on a 10-month contract.
This is a hands-on role that combines social media strategy, content creation and channel optimisation to help bring AustralianSuper's brand to life across our social channels. You'll play a key role in helping finalise and deliver AustralianSuper's social media strategy while creating engaging, relevant and brand-aligned content that supports audience engagement, member growth and broader business objectives.
Your New Role
In this role, you will:
- Ideate, capture, edit and publish engaging social-first content for channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and other relevant platforms.
- Self-produce content such as short-form video, photography, interviews, event coverage, behind-the-scenes content and other social assets.
- Use our preferred platform to support publishing, scheduling, governance, reporting and performance analysis across AustrlianSuper's owned social channels.
- Maintain content calendars, production plans and publishing schedules to ensure social activity is timely, coordinated and aligned with broader marketing, brand and communication priorities.
Monitor social media performance and audience engagement, leveraging insights and analytics to optimise content, inform channel strategy and improve reach, engagement and effectiveness.
- Keep up to date with social media trends, platform updates, audience behaviours and competitor activity, and share useful insights with stakeholders.
- Work closely with Brand, Corporate Affairs, Investment Relations, Colleagues & Culture, Growth and Engagement Marketing teams to understand and support social media needs.
- Support broader Brand team initiatives, including campaign activity, brand governance, asset development, reporting, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement activity.
- Apply AustralianSuper’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, accessibility requirements and approval processes to deliver accurate, compliant and on-brand content.
- Operate with a strong risk and compliance mindset, ensuring relevant policies, standards, procedures and governance requirements are followed.
What You’ll Need
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A degree qualification in marketing, communications, media, journalism or a similar discipline, or equivalent relevant experience in social media content creation, publishing and reporting. [
- Demonstrated experience ideating, capturing, editing, publishing and reporting on social media content.
- Strong working knowledge of social media management platforms.
- Strong social-first content creation skills, including short-form video, photography, copywriting and platform-ready asset development.
- Confidence using publishing, scheduling and reporting tools, with the ability to translate performance data into practical content recommendations.
- A strong understanding of social channels, formats, trends, audience behaviours and emerging platform opportunities.
- The ability to apply brand guidelines, tone of voice, accessibility standards and approval processes in a regulated environment
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work at pace and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and organised approach, with confidence managing content calendars, production workflows, competing priorities and broader Brand team initiatives.
- Experience in superannuation, financial services or another highly regulated environment is desirable.
