About the Role

Description

  

It is the purpose of this position to support the entire GasTech organization by making data accessible and manageable to those who need the information and to streamline business processes and reporting across GasTech. The role will also advise management on enterprise-level system strategies, influence business process standards, and provide consultation on technology policies that affect multiple departments. It is the goal of this position to establish GasTech Engineering as the most respected energy equipment solutions provider in the markets, and for the customers we serve.

  

PRINCIPAL   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The   responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work with business stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and users to understand business processes, identify needs, and document clear, comprehensive business and functional requirements. 
  • Collaborate with IT development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Create and maintain system documentation, process flows, and other artifacts. Provide recommendations that influence enterprise-level system policies and practices.
  • Lead the system integration team when new software is being implemented or modified for company development.
  • Serve as the main point of contact between technical teams and non-technical business units. Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and facilitate effective communication throughout projects. 
  • Create reports and dashboards to help leadership and stakeholders monitor system performance and make data-driven decisions. Advise leadership on findings and propose changes that directly affect operations and long-term business objectives.  
  • Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and procedures. Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. 
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements that can be solved through technology. Make recommendations to management on policy adjustments and new operational practices.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle. This includes designing, implementing, testing, and deploying new applications or systems. 
  • Develop training materials and provide guidance to end-users on new systems or system enhancements. Offer post-implementation support to resolve issues. 
  • Perform the necessary analysis of other system requirements for compatibility with GasTech systems and/or potential systems.
  • Input and retrieve data from the ERP system. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software system issues.


Requirements

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • An associate degree or equivalent experience in data administration and development is required.
  • 3 to 5 years’ ERP or systems data experience is required. 
  • The ability to exercise sound independent judgment on matters of significance, including the authority to recommend changes to company systems, processes, and policies is required.
  • A high level of technical proficiency with databases, tracking systems such as PDM or ERP, and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Where appropriate, a working knowledge of all departments’ workflow processes is required.
  • The ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality is required.
  • The ability to remain organized with keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is required. 
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines utilizing excellent time management skills is required.
  • The willingness and ability to report to work on a timely and regular basis is required.
  • A strong knowledge of documentation change controls is required.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are required.
  • Knowledge of various system interactions and integration with other software packages including Microsoft Access and Excel Spreadsheets is required.
  • Previous experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. 


PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

  • Our office provides common office equipment such as computers, printers, and copiers for staff to use as needed.
  • Routine work and staff interactions within our office environment occur daily. 
  • The ability to withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer is required. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include natural or corrected close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Long hours on a keyboard require fine dexterity use of hands/fingers for sustained periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. 
  • Must be able to follow all safety protocols while in our shop area.
