Job Description

We're looking for an Inspector - Civil to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across all civil works. You will conduct comprehensive inspections, maintain meticulous documentation, and collaborate with project teams to verify that all construction activities meet established specifications, building codes, and UAE regulations. Your expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in delivering projects that exceed expectations while maintaining safety and compliance throughout the construction lifecycle.

  • Conduct thorough and systematic inspections of civil works to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and established construction standards
  • Supervise on-site activities and coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols
  • Document inspection findings with precision, prepare detailed technical reports, and maintain comprehensive records of all site activities and observations for project archives
  • Analyze construction materials, methods, and workmanship to identify deficiencies, non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Verify that all work meets UAE construction regulations, building codes, and project-specific requirements with transparency and accountability
  • Communicate inspection results, project updates, and compliance status to project management and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner
  • Monitor site safety compliance and ensure all personnel adhere to established safety procedures and regulations
  • Resolve construction-related issues and discrepancies through collaborative problem-solving and decisive action with relevant parties
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents to assess work quality, progress, and adherence to design intent
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control checks to maintain consistent standards throughout the project
  • Manage multiple inspections simultaneously while prioritizing tasks and meeting project timelines efficiently
  • Maintain organized and accessible records of inspections, test results, compliance documentation, and corrective actions for project continuity
  • Coordinate with testing laboratories and verify material certifications and test results for compliance with project specifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum 6 to 7 years of experience in building construction or civil engineering projects
  • Proven experience in civil engineering inspection, site supervision, or quality control on construction projects
  • Professional certification in civil engineering, construction inspection, or quality assurance (preferred)
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of civil construction materials, methods, and industry best practices
  • Proficiency with project management software or AutoCAD
  • Experience on construction projects in the UAE or Middle East region
  • Leadership or team coordination experience on construction sites
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality assurance and quality control processes and methodologies
  • Knowledge of construction safety management and OSHA or equivalent standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings and construction specifications
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple inspections concurrently
  • Stakeholder management and professional reporting capabilities
