About the Role

Physiotherapist, Home Health Programme

Entity: Aga Khan University Hospital

Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Introduction:

The Aga Khan University Hospital in addition to its five Hospitals creates access through its Outreach Services which include Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health and other services. Outreach Services are designed to provide primary to secondary healthcare services to patients near their homes and are present in several cities across Pakistan. Outpatient Medical Centres offer a range of specialty clinics including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Physiotherapy, and cater to children, adults, and elderly patients for general health checks or specific disease consultations.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

  • Asses the patients, develop and deliver the individual physiotherapy treatment programme at Patient's home

  • Participate in appropriate in-house training programmes, tutorials and individual training sessions

  • Formulate treatment/exercise plans for patient enabling them to achieve treatment goals

  • Impart patient / family education.



Requirements:

You should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from a recognized institute

  • Traineeship in a medium / large hospital or preferably one year experience in a similar capacity

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to travel and work at patient's home

  • Ability to manage time and attend to patients in a timely manner to avail incentive(s).
