System Engineer

Job Description:
Public Safety and Security (PSS), an Airbus business unit, offers advanced communication and collaboration solutions enabling its customers to gather, process and deploy intelligence. Its portfolio is tailored to the needs of professionals from Public Safety and Transport, Utility and Industry (TUI). It includes infrastructures, devices, applications and services based on TETRA, TETRApol and Broadband technologies. As the European leader and a key international player, SLC has customers in more than 80 countries and employs around 1,150 people in 17 countries.
Responsibilities:
Install, commission, and maintain TETRA system, application software and system management tools
Manage suppliers for system integration of 3rd party sub‐systems and application software
Liaise with Product Line and vendors for problem resolution
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
Participate in the design of information and operational systems for tenders
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma/Higher Certificate in
Telecommunications/Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 8 years’ working experience in installing, commissioning and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems
IT literacy and knowledge of information systems and virtualization such as Oracle, VMware and TCP/IP
Good command of English and Chinese is a must
Willing to travel in APAC
Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered
