Concessions Change Runner

Position Summary:

 The Change Runner is responsible for transporting change and other monetary assets from the money room to designated Point-of-Sale (POS) registers across the grounds each business day. This position plays a critical support role in ensuring cash-handling operations run smoothly and securely. The Change Runner works under the supervision of the Concessions Supervisor and operates primarily during live racing events from Wednesday through Sunday. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ensure timely delivery of change to concession stands, portable bars, and other revenue-generating locations. 
• Assist with the pickup and return of cash bags as directed. 
• Communicate clearly and effectively with the money room and Concessions Supervisors. 
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of all cash handling procedures. 
• Follow Keeneland policies regarding cash security, transport, and guest safety. 
• Perform duties while maintaining a professional appearance and courteous demeanor. 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Must be at least 18 years of age. High level of trustworthiness and attention to detail. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions carefully. Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency. Ability to walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including Wednesday through Sunday during live racing. 

Licensing Requirements: 

• A Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers. This license will be provided to you on behalf of Keeneland upon hire.
