Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our infrastructure maintenance team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for managing costs, preparing accurate measurements, and ensuring efficient budget control throughout the lifecycle of infrastructure maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

  • Prepare and analyze bills of quantities (BoQ) for infrastructure maintenance projects with precision and accuracy
  • Conduct detailed cost estimation, forecasting, and budget analysis to support project planning and financial control
  • Monitor project expenditures and provide regular cost reports to project management and stakeholders
  • Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and change orders in accordance with contract terms
  • Perform quantity measurements and valuations based on project specifications and industry standards
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, records, and cost databases for audit and reference purposes
  • Analyze supplier quotations and negotiate pricing to optimize procurement costs
  • Identify and assess financial risks associated with projects and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, standards, and organizational policies
  • Prepare progress reports and financial statements for management review and decision-making

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar cost management role
  • Proven experience in infrastructure maintenance projects or related construction environments
  • Strong expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and financial forecasting
  • Proficiency with quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Touchplan, or equivalent)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement practices, and contract administration
  • Knowledge of UAE construction regulations, standards, and local building codes
  • Familiarity with CAD software and ERP systems (preferred)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Professional certification in quantity surveying or cost management (preferred)
