Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Fabricator based in Nampa, ID.

Requirements

As a Maintenance Technician III – Welding Fabricator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, fabricating metal components or structures, and performing quality checks on finished products. You may also be required to set up fabricating machines and design custom templates.

The Level II Technician is a proficient technician who performs mechanical, preventative, and basic corrective maintenance as outlined in the Skills Matrix and as assigned. The Level II skillset possesses adequate technical understanding to troubleshoot and correct basic failures. They still need help to troubleshoot complicated breakdowns and need to be lead / supervised to ensure that all work is completed correctly.


From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

· Machining fabrication materials and components

· Fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures.

· Cutting and welding with a variety of processes

· Metal forming, bending, and finishing.

· Repair, design, layout, and estimation

· Read and interpret engineering blueprints.

· Develop and design welding projects.

· Inspect and test welds.

· Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.

· Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.

· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Maximo computer software.

Education

· Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school.


Experience

· 3 + years’ related experience in maintenance preferred.


Specialized Knowledge

· Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions.

· Working knowledge of production/package machinery.


Skills / Abilities

· Great sense of self-motivation

· Ability to work well with others

· Strong communication abilities in both written and verbal.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong emphasis in continuous improvement.

· Displays good math, technical and decision-making skills.
