About the Role

Company Description

Skyfuel Australia Pty Ltd is a specialist aviation fuel supply company which provides safe, reliable and efficient services to meet their diverse customer’s needs including complex refuelling and emergency support services. Skyfuel’s experienced and dedicated team are experts in delivering aviation fuel solutions across regional airports in NSW and Victoria.  From managing airport operations to providing self-service fuel facilities at numerous end-user locations to bulk aviation fuel delivery, specialised services and products. 

We’re expanding our team and looking for a hands-on, safety-focused Field Technician to support operations across our national network of airport sites.

About the Role

Based at our workshop in Brisbane, QLD, as a Field Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing aviation fuel infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting the seamless delivery of fuel to our aviation partners. This is a dynamic, field-based role requiring regular travel to various airport locations both within QLD and across the country.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aviation fuel systems and equipment.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new fuel infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of service activities.
  • Collaborate with site teams and contractors to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, automotive or fuel systems maintenance (aviation, automotive or relevant industry preferred).
  • Experience and/or qualifications in welding / fabrication highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Current driver’s license (HR or MR license advantageous).
  • Trade qualified (Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Fabrication, Boilermaker etc.) is desirable but not essential.  It is a trade skill-set or hands-on experience performing in-field maintenance at a minimum.
  • NMI certification for meter calibration (desirable but not essential).

Additional Information

Pre-employment medical and health assessment is a requirement for this position and the role incumbent will also be subject to random medical, drug and alcohol assessments. The position is also subject to federal security clearance and ability to obtain an Australian, Security Identification Card (ASIC).
