About the Role

Job Description

NXP’s Driver & Energy Systems (DES) product line develops Battery Management System (BMS) solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as 48V automotive products. These products support the growing demand for vehicle electrification and must comply with strict performance, safety, and reliability requirements.

DES Product Line fuels NXP’s mixed‑signal battery management and 48V portfolio for automotive and industrial applications. In collaboration with our global design teams, we create application‑specific standard products that combine high‑performance analog functions with advanced high‑voltage CMOS technologies, placing particular emphasis on BMS, robust eFuse solutions, and state‑of‑the‑art Gate Driver architectures.

We are looking for an Digital Design Engineer to support global product development activities.

Your responsibilities

  • As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for design implementation and verification of IP modules, including Safety Critical Blocks
  • You will learn the entire flow to design a digital block thanks to your integration on several projects : SoC integration, synthesis, DFT , check CDC/RDC, STA & following place & route
  • You will participate to the continuous improvement of tools and methodology
  • You will work closely with cross functional teams: analog design, verification team, layout team for Analog or Mixed-Signal on top.
  • As a perspective for the job, you will lead in 2-3 years the execution of the project for the SOC digital part. You will be responsible for the entire flow of the SOC integration from design to backend activity till tape out and beyond.

Your profile

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering
  • Experience from 1 to 2 years in a similar role
  • Excellent scripting skills (TCL, Python, Shell scripts)
  • Creative problem-solving skills, logic analysis skills
  • Should be a team player and willing to work with cross functional teams in issues resolution
  • Fluent in English language both oral and written to work in an international environment with colleagues around the world
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
  • Open to new ideas and have a creative attitude
  • Taking initiative to spot and implement improvements
