Crowne Plaza Christchurch is located in the heart of downtown Christchurch, right opposite Victoria Square and just a short walk from major attractions, including the Avon River, Town Hall, Art Gallery, Te Pae Conference Centre and the modern dining and shopping precincts.
Our Front Office department is the heart and center of the hotel, and you could be joining this great team as a Night Auditor with us!
As a Night Auditor, you’ll provide great service and a memorable experience to our guests. Welcome guests on their arrival and assist with enquiries, build relationships with our regular guests, Assist guests with their luggage. You’ll also create the warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home from the moment they arrive at the hotel.

You’ll provide great service and a memorable experience to our guests. As Night Auditor, your key responsibilities include:
Complete night audit procedures as directed by the Night Manager and/or Assistant Night Manager
Support and drive any incremental revenue initiatives as required.
Ensuring CSA compliance is understood and executed.
Keeps abreast of all modifications to accounting policies and procedures.
Accurately receive cash and operate Eftpos terminals.
Settles all credit cards and balances.
Process Night Audit streams and ensure all reports are printed and delivered in a timely and accurate fashion.
Collate and balance daily work to be sent to the Accounts Department.
Regularly communicate with Night Manager and Guest Experience Manager – Front Office maintaining good relations & improving team engagement.
Responds to situations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel, including but not limited to any guest requests, processing and delivery of room service menu items, baggage requests, and newspaper deliveries.
What we need from you
Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
Problem solving abilities.
Ability to work with hotel property management systems (Opera).
Tertiary Qualification in Hotel Management, Front Office, or related field preferred.
2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
