About the Role
Housekeeping Supervisor
The Opportunity
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments? As a Housekeeping Supervisor at Chartwell, you’ll lead a team that ensures our residence is a place residents are proud to call home. You’ll oversee cleaning schedules, supplies, and team performance while delivering excellent service to residents, families, and visitors.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise, schedule, and train housekeeping staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service
- Oversee cleaning routines for resident suites and shared areas
- Monitor supplies and source quality products while staying within budget
- Respond to resident and family concerns, escalating as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and confidentiality standards
- Participate in the Resident Council and support team collaboration
- Provide regular feedback to the General Manager on service quality and resident satisfaction
What You’ll Bring
- Secondary school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required
- Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to lead by example
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
- Computer literacy and comfort with basic operational systems
- WHMIS, First Aid & CPR, and Occupational Health & Safety certification are assets
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team

Additional Requirements
- Must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting/carrying items
- Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations
- Comfortable using AI and other digital platform systems and tools to support daily work
- Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
