About the Role

Department/Unit: School of Life Sciences
Closing Date: October 31, 2026

Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in life sciences, biomedical sciences, or related disciplines; and (ii) demonstrated research ability and experience in cell biology, molecular biology, patient iPSC-derived neuron and animal models, biological drug studies (in vitro and in vivo), or other advanced omics analytical skills, such as transcriptomics.

Applicants with at least four years of relevant postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record are preferred. Track records in securing competitive research grants and experience in neurological disease mechanistic studies and/or drug discovery research would be an advantage.

The appointee is expected to (a) seek and secure external research grants; (b) conduct research in neurological disease mechanisms and/or drug discovery; (c) co-supervise postgraduate students; and (d) assist in laboratory management.

The appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
