Data Analytics Engineer

Description
Quincy Credit Union is seeking a Data Engineer to help grow and support its modern data and analytics platform, which includes Dagster, Coalesce, Snowflake, Sigma, and HubSpot. The platform supports regulatory reporting, Member 360, business intelligence, marketing engagement, and early AI work using Snowflake Cortex.
This role is the first dedicated hire into the data team and will work closely with the engineer who built the platform. The Data Engineer will have hands-on ownership across the full data stack, from raw ingestion and warehouse modeling to dashboards, HubSpot syncs, and business-facing data products. This is an on-site position in Quincy, MA.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for new source systems, including ingestion, transformation, and modeled tables in Snowflake.
- Develop the transformation layer in Coalesce, turning raw data into reliable tables that support credit union operations.
- Support the continued build-out of Member 360, unifying data from core banking, digital banking, lending, and CRM systems.
- Create observability tools, monitoring, and dashboards to surface pipeline health and identify issues before they become incidents.
- Partner with Lending, Operations, and Marketing to translate business questions into Sigma dashboards and HubSpot syncs.
- Grow over time into deeper technical specialization, broader platform ownership, or more analytics-focused work based on strengths and interest.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, BI engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong SQL skills, including CTEs, window functions, joins, and experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, or similar.
- Working Python skills, including comfort with file parsing, API calls, data cleaning, virtual environments, and dependency management.
- Experience using Git, writing clear commit messages, and working with pull requests.
- Clear written communication and a willingness to document technical decisions.
- Curiosity about how systems work and the ability to investigate issues thoughtfully.
- No specific degree is required. A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience is acceptable.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required: dbt, Coalesce, Dagster, Airflow, Prefect, dlt, Fivetran, Airbyte, Stitch, Snowflake, financial services, banking, credit unions, fintech, Sigma, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, HubSpot, or other CRM and marketing automation platforms.
