About The Company
Holon Health is a multi-specialty provider, including primary care and psychiatry, that bridges the gaps in care for people with substance use disorder (SUD) and/or mental health conditions by providing health evaluations and care plan management. Our bio-psycho-social approach fills critical gaps in care and removes social barriers that limit the ability to engage in treatment, making healthcare more accessible and long-term recovery more sustainable. The Holon Vibe app complements mental health and SUD treatment by encouraging healthy habits, rewarding progress, and supporting long-term lifestyle change. By integrating people and technology, Holon simplifies the complexities of care—helping individuals achieve better health outcomes while reducing unnecessary ER visits, hospitalizations, and other high-cost services. Our focus on prevention and whole-person health drives lasting recovery and lowers overall healthcare costs. Our results speak for themselves: - 98% of clients report Holon helped their recovery. - 95% say it improved their mental health. - 88% report improved physical health. - 71% said it helped them make progress towards completing probation or reducing its length. - Nearly 1/5th of clients avoided an ER or urgent care visit.
About the Role

Description

Be Part of Something Radically Different

At Holon Health, we don’t do “business as usual.” We’re a trailblazing healthcare startup reimagining what it means to care—for our clients and our people. We provide whole-person care to justice-involved individuals living with Substance Use Disorder (SUD)—and we do it with deep compassion, community wisdom, and an unshakable belief in second chances.

Our approach throws out the playbook. We integrate medical, behavioral, and social care. We prioritize prevention and recovery. We treat clients like people, not checkboxes. And just as importantly, we know that our team can only care for others if they’re cared for themselves. That’s why we lead with flexibility, trust, and a culture built on well-being, inclusion, and respect. If you’re energized by meaningful work and want to feel good about how you spend your days, read on.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a mission-aligned Recovery Coach to bring the power of lived experience to the center of our care model. As a certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS), you’ll support justice-involved individuals on their recovery journey—offering encouragement, building trust, and helping them navigate the barriers that stand between them and lasting wellness. Your lived experience with recovery will be a powerful asset in building authentic, hope-filled relationships with clients who may be navigating complex health, behavioral, and social challenges.

Schedule & Location

This is a full-time, remote position, Monday through Friday. Some evening availability may be needed to accommodate client needs across time zones.

What You'll Do

  • Build trusting, nonjudgmental relationships with clients based on shared lived experience
  • Use personal recovery experience to offer hope, motivation, and accountability
  • Collaborate with participants and the Holon care team to develop personalized recovery plans
  • Connect clients to community resources (e.g., housing, healthcare, employment, transportation)
  • Conduct strengths-based assessments to identify client needs and goals
  • Advocate for clients within the justice system, care system, and other relevant environments
  • Partner with Care Navigators, clinicians, and judicial points of contact for integrated care
  • Stay informed on best practices in peer support and recovery-based care
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Contribute to new initiatives and engagement strategies as assigned

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table

  • Certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS) or Peer Recovery Coach
  • Deeply empathetic, with strong listening and communication skills
  • Knowledgeable about the realities of recovery and the barriers clients may face
  • Committed to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards
  • Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Aligned with Holon’s values of equity, inclusion, and whole-person care

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
  • Certification as a Peer Recovery Coach or PRS in the state of Michigan (national certification from an accredited agency like NAADAC is also accepted)
  • 1–2 years in a peer support role is strongly preferred
  • Lived experience or close connection to someone in recovery is strongly valued
  • Experience working with justice-involved populations is a plus
