About The Company
The best brands don’t wait for categories to evolve. They redefine them. That’s how The Salty began, and that’s how we’ll continue to grow. Since day one, we’ve believed a neighborhood donut shop could be so much more than people expected. Not because we wanted to be different, but because we believed everyday rituals deserve more care, more creativity, and a higher standard. That starts with our signature brioche dough. Crafted with European butter, premium flour, and rested for 24 hours, it’s the foundation of everything we make. Every filling, glaze, and syrup is made with quality ingredients and without artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. We don’t take shortcuts because exceptional products begin with exceptional ingredients. But great products are only the beginning. Every shop we open, every coffee we serve, every collaboration we pursue, every piece of merchandise we create, every experience we bring to life. Every decision should raise the standard of what people believe a donut and coffee shop can be. We don’t follow our category. We push it forward. We don’t build what’s expected. We build what people wish existed. Our best ideas are never behind us. They’re still ahead.
About the Role

Description

Director of Marketing

Location: Miami, FL (Coral Gables) Hybrid: Minimum 3 days/week in office Path to Director for the right candidate

About The Salty:

“The Salty Donut is a chef-driven, craft donut and coffee shop built on creativity, quality, and unforgettable guest experiences.” We make everything in-house, use only the best ingredients, and obsess over hospitality. As we grow, we’re building a marketing engine that is both creatively bold and commercially strong — and this role is central to that evolution.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Marketing Director to lead The Salty’s marketing strategy and execution, partnering closely with the Founder + Chief Brand Officer to turn the brand vision into thoughtful, high-performing marketing across launches, loyalty, local store marketing, partnerships, paid performance, and customer-facing campaigns.

This person should be equally comfortable thinking about brand storytelling, customer behavior, performance marketing, KPI accountability, and the execution required to grow a multi-unit consumer business. You should understand how to build demand, drive repeat visits, support store-level performance, and ensure marketing is both creatively strong and commercially effective.

This role is based in Miami with a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days per week in our Coral Gables office.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead overall marketing strategy across launches, LTOs, retail products, partnerships, loyalty, local store marketing, and seasonal moments.
  • Partner with the Founder + Chief Brand Officer to translate brand direction into cohesive, high-impact marketing across all customer-facing channels and markets.
  • Build and manage the annual and quarterly marketing calendar, turning company priorities into campaign plans and channel priorities.
  • Oversee marketing execution across product launches, retail products, partnerships, loyalty/CRM, local store marketing, paid media, influencer/PR, and in-store marketing.
  • Develop strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, frequency, traffic, and revenue growth across new and existing markets.
  • Own marketing KPI tracking and performance reporting across CAC, ROAS, LTV, repeat rate, retention, traffic, conversion, loyalty engagement, campaign ROI, and store-level sales impact.
  • Use performance insights to guide channel strategy, offer strategy, and marketing investment priorities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, social, and creative to ensure marketing initiatives are strategically sound, measurable, and operationally executable.
  • Help build the systems, processes, and team structure needed for the marketing function to scale over time.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Senior-level marketing experience in hospitality, retail, food & beverage, or consumer lifestyle brands.
  • Deep understanding of both brand-building and performance marketing.
  • Strong grasp of customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, paid media, local store marketing, and marketing analytics.
  • Comfortable owning KPIs, budgets, channel performance, and measurable growth targets.
  • Strategic but hands-on; able to operate inside a founder-led business.
  • Excited by the opportunity to help scale a brand with a strong identity and loyal customer base.
