Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer based in Romania, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that meet both technical requirements and customer expectations. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans that cover functional, performance, and product testing. Collaborating closely with development teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders, you will identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Bugzilla to ensure timely resolution. Your work will directly contribute to improving product reliability, usability, and overall customer satisfaction. Ultimately, your efforts will help maintain the company’s reputation for excellence by preventing defects and ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in software quality assurance, including test planning and execution.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Java to understand and create automated tests.
• Experience with defect tracking tools, specifically Bugzilla or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with supplier quality management and integration.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and continuous integration systems.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or related quality assurance credentials.
• Experience in a multinational or cross-cultural work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed test plans and test cases based on technical requirements and design specifications.
• Execute functional, performance, and product tests to validate software behavior and system performance under various conditions.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using Bugzilla, working closely with development teams to facilitate timely fixes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of externally sourced components and integrate supplier quality processes into overall testing strategies.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide actionable feedback to cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
