Position Summary

 StenTech is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Deburr Technician to join our team at our Hillsboro, OR facility. This hands-on position plays an important role in ensuring precision-machined components are properly finished and meet established quality and production standards. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, takes pride in producing quality work, and is comfortable using hand tools, sanders, grinders, and other equipment to remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from metal components.

  • Perform deburring and finishing operations on precision-machined metal parts while maintaining quality and production standards.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using hand tools, sanders, grinders, and other deburring equipment.
  • Select appropriate tools and deburring methods to achieve required finishes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, process sheets, routings, and travelers.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure deburring and finishes meet specifications.
  • Identify and correct deburring or finishing issues and communicate production concerns as needed.
  • Prepare, wash, and stage parts according to traveler routing.
  • Complete required production documentation and shop floor data collection accurately.
  • Follow QMS requirements, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and assist in other production areas as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 3–6 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience with deburring and finishing precision-machined parts.
  • Experience using hand tools, sanders, grinders, and other deburring equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, routings, and travelers.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and correct deburring and finishing issues.
  • Ability to follow production procedures, QMS requirements, and safety guidelines.
  • Dependable team player with the ability to adapt to changing production needs.
