About the Role

Description

About Us: Compassion, Innovation, and Changing LivesAt Emage Fibroid Centers, we aren't just another doctor's office—we are an outpatient oasis of relief for women in metro Detroit! We specialize in Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE), a cutting-edge, non-surgical solution that helps women get their lives back from heavy bleeding and pelvic pain without the need for major surgery or hospital stays.Compassion and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves on providing a calmer, gentler, and unrivaled healthcare experience. That’s where you come in! We are seeking a full-time, on-site Front Desk / Patient Communications Specialist to be the ultimate vibe-setter, welcoming face, and compassionate voice of our Southfield practice. What You’ll Do (The Fun Stuff & The Important Stuff):As our patients embark on their 5-step journey to a fibroid-free future, you will be their guide, cheerleader, and coordinator.

  • The Ultimate Host: Greet patients with genuine warmth and professionalism during check-in and check-out at our modern, welcoming outpatient suite.
  • The Connector: Answer incoming calls and text messages with clarity, empathy, and a smile you can hear through the phone.
  • The Outreach Champion: Make high volumes of outbound calls and proactive follow-up outreach to help patients take that first brave step of booking a consultation.
  • The Coordinator: Schedule appointments and masterfully coordinate with imaging centers and external providers for critical steps like patient MRI tests.
  • The Office Anchor: Verify insurance and demographic information, collect co-pays/balances, accurately document interactions in our systems, and manage medical records.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 2+ years of front desk or administrative experience in a medical office (specialty or procedural practice experience is a huge plus!).
  • The Vibe: A warm, upbeat, and empathetic tone. Our patients are often dealing with tough symptoms like pain and fatigue—your positivity will be their breath of fresh air.
  • Tech Savvy: Strong attention to detail and experience navigating electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management software (AdvancedMD is a gold star!).
  • Language Skills: Spanish fluency is a major plus! (We serve a diverse community, and Hispanic and African American women are statistically at a much higher risk for fibroids).
  • Reliability: Ability to commute daily to our beautiful Southfield office on Telegraph Rd.

What We Offer (Perks of the Job):

  • Work-Life Balance: Dream schedule! 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Enjoy your weekends and holidays completely off (including the Friday after Thanksgiving and a floating holiday!).
  • Financial & Future Security: Competitive starting pay at $22+/hour, plus an employer-matching 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Health & Wellness: Employer-contributed health, dental, and vision plans, plus accrued Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • Culture: A supportive, mission-driven team environment where you aren't just a number—you are an essential part of a team changing women's healthcare.
