Overview

Our client is seeking a Program Manager (Student Services) to support the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) Office of the Dean. Despite the Program Manager title, this position is primarily focused on student services, healthcare education administration, medical readiness support, credentialing, training agreements, and continuing education administration.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical or healthcare education environment and be comfortable coordinating student and training programs, maintaining credentialing and readiness records, supporting continuing education requirements, and working with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and program support for student services and healthcare education programs.
  • Support the Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program (CMRP) and related medical readiness activities.
  • Coordinate and maintain Training Affiliation Agreements with participating organizations and institutions.
  • Support nursing competency and continuing education (CEU) processes.
  • Track and maintain credentialing requirements, including professional licenses, certifications, and BLS currency.
  • Monitor expiration dates and maintain accurate records to ensure personnel remain current and compliant with applicable requirements.
  • Assist with student onboarding, program documentation, training requirements, and related administrative processes.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update program records, reports, correspondence, and other documentation.
  • Provide input and recommendations regarding policies and procedures consistent with AFI 41-106.
  • Coordinate with students, instructors, healthcare professionals, government personnel, military organizations, training partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Support education and training program requirements and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Assist with continuing education administration, including tracking participation, requirements, and applicable documentation.
  • Maintain organized electronic records and program files using Microsoft SharePoint and other approved systems.
  • Perform other education-administration and student-services duties as assigned.


Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree OR 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least four (4) years of experience working in a medical-related environment.
  • Proficiency with:
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Knowledge and experience with the following:
  • Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program (CMRP)
  • Training Affiliation Agreements
  • Nursing competencies
  • Continuing education (CEU) processes
  • Ability to provide policy input and support program documentation consistent with AFI 41-106.
  • Experience tracking and maintaining credentialing requirements, including professional licensure, certifications, and BLS currency.
  • Must be willing to execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and provide it to the Government Program Manager by the start of performance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required. A permanent resident card (Green Card) does not satisfy this requirement due to base and network access requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and pass a Tier 1 (T1) background investigation / SF-85 Position of Trust prior to reporting for duty.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Instructional or teaching experience.
  • Office management experience.
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Familiarity with the Joint Trauma System (JTS) and Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) Clinical Practice Guidelines.
  • Prior experience supporting military medical education, a Military Treatment Facility (MTF), or a military training/education office.
  • Experience supporting healthcare education, clinical training, medical readiness, or professional credentialing programs.

This position is well suited for a professional with a background in healthcare administration, medical education, clinical education, student services, credentialing, nursing education, medical training, or healthcare program administration. Candidates with experience coordinating medical education programs, maintaining professional credentials, supporting clinical training, administering continuing education programs, or working within military medical environments are encouraged to apply.

This is not a traditional corporate project-management position. The role is focused on the day-to-day administration and coordination of healthcare education and student-services programs within a military medical education environment. Work Environment

  • Full-time, on-site position at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
  • Work directly within the USAFSAM Office of the Dean.
  • Regular interaction with students, faculty, healthcare professionals, government personnel, and training partners.
  • Employment is contingent upon meeting applicable government access and background investigation requirements.
