Job Description

Palmdale currently operates in more than 50 counties across Florida and provides a wide range of tailored commercial fuel and lubricant solutions to customers in the agricultural, industrial, construction, marine, and government sectors. Operating out of 20 locations statewide, the company is a leader in the industry in the procurement and sale of gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, commercial and industrial lubricants, and chemicals that are used across a diverse set of end markets. 

We are currently recruiting a Propane Bobtail Driver at our Belle Glade location who has a  have a Class B with X Endorsement. The driver must be dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid background in driving and a desire to work for a fast-paced, corporate organization. In addition to exceptional customer service skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves" attitude.


 
Job responsibilities
 
 •Operates a Bobtail truck as directed that transports between the facility and multiple destinations. 

 •Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery and/or pick-up of fuels to ensure timely service.

 •Makes deliveries of propane in accordance with customer needs and company policies. 

•Maintains telephone contact with home terminal/dispatch center to receive delivery instructions or notices of changes in route or schedule to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.

 •Responsible for daily inspection of vehicle (pre-post trip), ensuring proper function of all safety related features of the vehicle at all times, including refueling as needed.

 

 

Job Requirements

The required skills for the Class B CDL Route Driver are:

  • Class B CDL with Haz-Mat “X” Endorsement
  • Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
  • Must be licensed to operate the assigned vehicle
  • Able to Lift 50 pounds
  • Available for overtime as required to meet business needs within the appropriate State/Federal regulations, plus rotating Saturdays as needed
  • Travel surrounding regions if necessary
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills
  • Positive and Professional Demeanor
  • Outstanding Safety Record
  • Must have a clean driving record with no serious violations
  • Must be able to meet all DOT/Federal and State Requirements for the operation of commercial motor vehicles
  • Must maintain a clean presentation of the driver and vehicle
  • Stable Work History
