Administrative Assistant | OT Fieldwork and Capstone

Position Overview:
The Fieldwork and Capstone Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Occupational Therapy Department's fieldwork education and doctoral capstone programs. Under the direction of the Department Chair, the position provides administrative and operational support to the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and the Doctoral Capstone Coordinator. The Department Chair will assign and prioritize responsibilities based on the needs and workload identified by the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Doctoral Capstone Coordinator. Duties include supporting student placement processes, compliance tracking, database management, communications, recordkeeping, meeting coordination, accreditation support activities, and other related functions as assigned.
The position serves as a central point of contact for students, fieldwork educators, capstone mentors, clinical affiliates, and community partners regarding administrative matters and supports the efficient operation of fieldwork and doctoral capstone experiences in accordance with departmental, university, and accreditation requirements.
Education:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Educational administration, healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- Three to five years of administrative support experience required.
- Experience with scheduling, records management, database systems, and office operations preferred.
- Experience in higher education, healthcare, or clinical education environments preferred.
Work-Related Knowledge:
- Understanding of academic operations, confidentiality standards, and accreditation processes.
