About the Role
Your mission
Hey there and welcome to your new opportunity with us.Being an EHS Engineer is an exciting task, since you are the superhero, our clients need. You know what setup of our solutions will satisfy their needs; therefore, these here are your most important tasks:
- Develop, implement and continuously improve EHS procedures, policies, work instructions and emergency response plans in compliance with Polish legislation and ISO 14001/ISO 45001 requirements.
- Conduct and coordinate hazard identification and occupational risk assessments, including JSA and other appropriate methodologies, and ensure implementation of appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness, including emergency response plans, drills, evaluations and follow-up actions.
- Organise and deliver EHS training and safety awareness activities, including training related to hazardous work, chemical safety and other site-specific risks.
- Monitor changes in Polish EHS legislation and ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Support internal and external EHS audits and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.Site EHS Management
- Conduct regular inspections of production areas, warehouses and other site facilities, identifying unsafe conditions and behaviours and ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Monitor the safety of machinery, electrical installations, fire protection systems, chemical storage and other critical safety controls.
- Manage contractor EHS activities, including qualification checks, safety induction, risk assessment, permit-to-work and site supervision.
- Support the management of high-risk activities and ensure that appropriate control measures are implemented.
- Coordinate EHS matters across different departments and support site-wide safety initiatives.
- Investigate near misses, occupational accidents and environmental incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Your profile
All right, all right, so I hope you are now aware of what is up for you, what background should you have in order to feel comfortable with this role? Keep in mind it`s all about electrical equipment, that`s the reason why it is essential for you to have:- Bachelor's degree or above in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of EHS/BHP experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in electrical, electronics, machinery, energy or other industrial manufacturing environments will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Polish occupational health and safety and environmental regulations, as well as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Relevant BHP/EHS qualifications required under Polish regulations.
- Practical experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, contractor management and emergency preparedness.
- Good command of English, preferably B2 or above, with the ability to work in an international environment.
- Strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach to site safety.
