Driver Support Coordinator (Dispatcher)

Location: Salem, OR
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
Pay: $21.00–$24.00/hour DOE

A Day in the Life


Our Driver Support Coordinator (Dispatcher) plays an important role in keeping daily operations organized and our drivers supported. This position combines administrative support, driver support, route coordination, customer service, and dispatch assistance in a fast-paced operations environment.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support for drivers and supervisors
  • Assist drivers with route questions, schedule changes, service issues, and other daily needs
  • Coordinate and adjust routes to improve efficiency and respond to changing priorities
  • Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding service updates and customer needs
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer and employee questions, concerns, and requests
  • Assist with dispatching drivers and coordinating daily service schedules
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain operational records
  • Prepare and distribute reports and other administrative documentation
  • Help forecast and communicate equipment and service needs
  • Support safe operations in accordance with federal, state, and company policies
  • Work closely with operations, customer service, and field employees to keep information accurate and up to date



Requirements

 

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable balancing administrative work with a busy operations environment.

  

Qualifications include:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and adjust quickly when plans change
  • Comfortable communicating with drivers and field employees throughout the day
  • Good geographical knowledge and ability to understand routes and service areas
  • Experience with dispatching, scheduling, logistics, administrative support, customer service, or operations support is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Comfortable learning new computer systems and entering information accurately

  • OT required during peak season Jun-Aug’
