About the Role

The Opportunity


We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project and Interior Design Specialist to join our Real Estate - Space Planning team in Singapore. This role is crucial for delivering high quality projects and interior design solutions across DBS diverse portfolio, including corporpate offices, branches and specialised client spaces.  You will play a key role in ensuring design excellence, compliance with brand standards and succesful execution of projects from concept through to completion. This is a hands on design leadership role for someone who is deeply passoinate about creating impactful and functional interior environments within a corporate setting.

Your Role

As a project and design specialist, you will have a successful track record of managing all phases of interior fit out projects for offices and retail spaces, and will have overall responsiblity for client satisfaction, quality control and budget management. What you will do

Project and Design Specialist

  • Act as a liasion between users, project managers & vendors on all project matters, including project deliverables which includes making presnetations, laison with various internal stakeholders

  • Manage end to end lift cylce of the projects, including quality, budget and timeline.

  • Direct involvement in all procurement matters from start to end, including calling of tenders to contract approvals.

  • Ensure all procurement adheres to policies and procedures.

  • Manage all phases of design throughout project scope for architectural design projects, including project set up and construction adminstration.

  • Oversee design management and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders as required.

  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure smooth progression of proejcts from one phase to the next.

  • Oversee design management, construction design details and feasiblity, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders as required. 

  • Conduct quality control reviews of design documentation, including SFOG application and compliance. Subsequently, monitor project team deliverables to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Manage multiple aspects of client, team and project scheduling, budgets, project delivery including full documentation coordiation with consultants.

  • Manage communication between users, project team, vendors, contractors and consultants.

  • Communciate as the main interface with internal stakeholders, clients and contractors.

Design Delivery

  • Responsible for oversight and delivery of design documents

  • Maintain and manage all design standards and guidelines for office and retail spaces.

  • Maintain ad oversee the project manual and specifications.

  • Review detailed drawings and be familiar with site constuction methods.

  • Conduct on site observatoins and manage site reviews and meetings.

  • Process submittals/substition reuests during construction and address RFI.

  • Prepare project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, coordinate bidding process.

  • Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships.

Skillset

  • Design, Technical and Site Delivery knowledge.

  • Site construction Knowledge

  • Tech savy, up to date with latest design software, including 3D design

  • Communcation skills

  • Management of design process

  • Understanding of contractural responsbilities for fit out projects.

  • Familiarity and well versed with AI archtiectural rendering tools, BIM, Revit, Autocad, Sketchup with real time rendering, Photoshop, Powerpoint and Microsoft office suite. Video editing skills are added advantage

Your qualificaitons

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or related fields

  • PMP certification

  • 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience negotiating project scope, fees, managing project financial performance, and ensuring fiscal responsbiity for projects.

  • Experience with full project lifecycle, through post occupancy

  • Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures.

  • Basic technical understanding of architectural design, construction design and  methodology, interior and furniture specification 

  • Knowledge in sustainble design principles reuired.

  • Capacity to drive sustaianbility focused discussions with clients and teams

  • Demonstrated committment to sustainabiilty and sustaianbel building practices required.
