Position Description:?Sub Assembly? 

The Sub-Assembly is responsible for assembling hardware components onto fabricated parts and panels to create subassemblies used in LayerZero Power Systems products. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail to ensure assemblies meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and thrives in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. 

Requirements

 

Primary Duties: 

  • Install hardware (fasteners, studs, hinges, brackets, clips, etc.) onto fabricated metal and non-metal components 
  • Perform sub-assembly operations by interpreting assembly drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs) 
  • Prepare components for assembly by cleaning, deburring, aligning, and positioning parts accurately 
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and torque tools safely and effectively 
  • Verify assembled components for dimensional accuracy, fit, and function 
  • Identify and report defects, missing components, or quality issues 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies 
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process or efficiency improvements 
  • Collaborate closely with other assemblers, quality, and engineering teams 

Experience & Skills:? 

  • Assembly?in a manufacturing environment?or?transferable?mechanical experience? 
  • Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow direction? 

Education:? 

  • High school diploma or GED?required,?technical or trade school preferred.??
