Work Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday from 5am - 3pm

Job Summary:

The custodian maintains a clean working environment for all staff, visitors, and clients, ensuring all areas are safe.

Essential Functions

• Provide routine cleaning of client rooms, offices and common areas:
• Clean and sanitize all common restrooms; stock areas with supplies such as hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper.
• Clean and sanitize community kitchen after client mealtimes.
• Clean, mop, wash, and vacuum floors.
• Dust, clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Empty all trash and remove to outside dumpsters.
• Clean the windows.
• Maintain outside areas and parking lot as directed, sweeping debris and washing walkways or parking lot.
• Report malfunction of bathroom fixtures, light fixtures, and/or damages to room or staff areas to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Clean up bio-hazard spills in client rooms or in other desired areas when needed.
• Safety:
• Follow all safety procedures for equipment and job functions and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Use chemicals per OSHA and MSDS regulations.
• Clean spills using blood born pathogen kits and/or OSHA approved spill kits.

Additional Duties and Job Attributes:

• Assist in moving furniture, equipment or fixtures, set up for meetings, parties and other events.
• Assist in receiving donations or other deliveries as directed.
• Thorough with attention to detail.
• Time management.
• Maintain a professional attitude and cordial relationship with fellow staff members and CASS clients.

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
