Job Description
Your Opportunity
We're looking for a Technical Manager - GitHub Platform Uplift to lead the delivery of our GitHub Enterprise roadmap while remaining hands-on with platform engineering, DevSecOps and CI/CD capabilities. This role combines delivery leadership with technical execution, offering the opportunity to influence engineering standards and platform capabilities across the organisation.
You'll also make an impact by:
- Leading the GitHub platform uplift roadmap, managing stakeholders, risks, dependencies and delivery outcomes across engineering, cloud, cyber and identity teams.
- Driving GitHub Enterprise administration, migration activities and adoption across engineering teams.
- Enhancing DevSecOps and CI/CD capabilities through secure automation, governance and operational readiness practices.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
- Extensive platform engineering experience within enterprise or regulated environments.
- Strong experience administering GitHub Enterprise, including repository governance, access controls and security features.
- Experience delivering GitHub migrations, onboarding programs or large-scale platform adoption initiatives.
- Strong CI/CD engineering expertise with GitHub Actions, automation and secure delivery practices.
- Practical DevSecOps knowledge spanning code security, secrets management, container security and policy enforcement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to drive outcomes across multiple teams.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have:
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise Managed Users, SAML SSO or SCIM provisioning.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, GitOps tooling and cloud-native platform engineering.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS, APRA CPS 234 or broader financial services regulatory environments.
- GitHub, AWS or Kubernetes certifications.
