About The Company
Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity has been building homes, hope, and stronger communities in Northwest Vermont since 1984. Serving Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, and Lamoille counties, we partner with families in need to provide safe, energy-efficient, and affordable housing. Our homeowners don’t just move in—they help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage, creating stability, self-reliance, and a true sense of community. Our construction capacity is growing. Our partnerships with municipalities, businesses, volunteers, and donors are more important than ever. And the families we serve represent the backbone of Vermont—teachers, caregivers, tradespeople, and early-career professionals—people who make our communities work. Through volunteering, donations, or advocacy, anyone can make a real difference. Together, we are building much more than homes. We are building stability, dignity, community, and hope. About the Role

Description

Do you have a passion and drive to apply your talents to make a difference? The Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity (GMHFH) ReStore seeks a Cashier Associate to support its mission of helping local families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

Our Habitat ReStores in Milton, Swanton, and Williston play a vital role in advancing Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build affordable housing. By accepting donations of new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, clothing, electronics, and home goods and selling items at discounted prices, our ReStores promote sustainability while increasing access to affordable resources for the community. Our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers work hard to maintain a constant flow of goods and offer a wide range of items for our retail visits. The proceeds of ReStore sales are then used to help fund the construction of permanently affordable housing for families and individuals across northwestern Vermont.

We offer competitive wages, ample Paid Time Off, and a 20% discount at local ReStores!
