Description
Serving Arkansas with excellence for over 50 years, Klaasmeyer Construction Company is looking our next Assistant Project Auditor to join the Finance team. In this position, you will be supporting our project auditing team with billing documentation, invoice verification, cost tracking, and project file organization on active telecommunication construction projects.
Requirements
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the preparation of monthly pay applications, progress billing, and change order documentation
- Organizing and maintaining project financial files — RFIs, change order logs, submittals, and billing records
- Reviewing incoming subcontractor and vendor invoices against project records and flagging discrepancies for auditor review
- Entering and maintaining financial data accurately in project accounting and ERP systems
- Assisting with cost tracking, budget variance compilation, and audit preparation documentation
- Communicating schedule updates and documentation requirements to subcontractors and suppliers
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent education and experience considered
- 1–3 years of experience in billing, finance support, or program controls in a project-driven environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail — financial data entry and invoice verification require accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial management or ERP software is a plus
- Organized and dependable — able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines without losing accuracy
- Construction, utility, or large-scale project experience is a plus
The Physical Reality
This is a desk-based, on-site office role. The majority of your day is at your computer — processing documents, entering financial data, and supporting the Project Auditor team with organized, accurate work.
- Extended periods of seated computer work for data entry, document review, and financial tracking
- Frequent written and verbal communication with project teams and vendors
- Occasional lifting of files and office supplies up to 20 lbs.
