Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Part Time 15 Hours Weekly at $40/Hourly


Primary Focus:

Plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs in a variety of sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist. The programs are designed to help patients regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to their handicaps. Teaches patient skills and techniques required for participation in activities. Studies and evaluates patient’s reactions to the program and reports back to the Occupational Therapist as needed.


Essential Functions:

  • Follow a plan of treatment established by a licensed Occupational Therapist and reports back to them about changes in the patient's or student's status, and/or negative response to treatment.
  • Anticipates patients/students needs.
  • Responsible to assist the Occupational Therapist in communication with hospital long-term care staff and school staff in regards to patient/student care coordination.
  • Involves patients/family members/parents and guardians in decisions and problem solving.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Compensation is $40/hourly at 15 Hours per week.

Requirements


Required Education and Certification

  • Current Licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Washington
  • Associate of Applied Science degree or higher from an accredited school
  • Current BLS upon hire and duration of employment.
