POSITION SUMMARY: 


The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicle components and assemblies to meet Vantage Mobility’s quality, safety, and production standards. This role supports the manufacturing process by ensuring all painted surfaces are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company specifications. 

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  


The essential functions listed below represent the primary duties of the position. Duties may vary based on assignment and business needs. 

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers as required 
  • Apply paint and coatings using appropriate tools and techniques to meet quality and finish standards 
  • Inspect finished work to ensure proper coverage, color match, and overall quality 
  • Maintain paint equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and safe condition 
  • Follow safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies related to paint materials and processes 
  • Collaborate with production team members to meet schedules and workflow requirements 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or professional paint environment 
  • Ability to use paint equipment, tools, and materials safely and effectively 
  • Required certifications or licenses: None required 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience painting vehicle components, mobility equipment, or similar products 
  • Familiarity with spray guns, paint booths, and coating processes 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

  • Knowledge of surface preparation and paint application techniques 
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards 
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions 
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation. 

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods 
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds 
  • Ability to work safely around machinery, tools, and manufacturing equipment 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 


Work is performed in an environment that may include exposure to manufacturing equipment, moving mechanical parts, noise, fumes, or varying temperatures, depending on the role.
