THE ORGANIZATION
Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California and for 50 years has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. ACRC employs over 900 persons working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.
COMPENSATION
The below is dependent upon experience and education.
- $25.44 - $29.44 an hour
The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors including skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY
ACRC is seeking an HR Associate in our Sacramento to provide proactive administrative, informational, and secretarial support to the Human Resources Department. The position will proactively assist and provide support for ACRC recruiting; Provide support for new employee hiring and orientation processes; Process new-hire I-9 forms and employment verification documentation. Complete and process PSLF forms and other employment verification requests. Assist employees with documentation and HR record updates, including name changes. Monitor and respond to the HR inbox and incoming faxes, routing requests as appropriate. File employee documents in necessary folders and profiles; Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive records, information and communication; Provide administrative support and special projects to the HR department, as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Mental aptitude to accurately process information and details; Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to correspond in a variety of mediums; Extensive sitting at workstation, in meetings, and in vehicle (50%+ of time); Frequent standing and walking; Adequate manual dexterity and coordination to operate standard office equipment, such as computer, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, telephone, etc.; Hearing and vision corrected to normal range for operation of standard office equipment, transcription of documents and administration of electronic records; Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and stretching; Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. while moving paperwork, supplies, and other office materials; Ability to independently visit off site locations (occasional); Occasional travel outside of catchment area of distances of 100+ miles

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess: two years of administrative support experience, to include public contact/customer support; have a High School Diploma or GED; a minimum accurate typing speed of 40 WPM; the ability to apply a variety of legal requirements and policy standards; and the ability to perform advanced administrative tasks using independent judgement, accuracy, and speed.
