WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

UKi Media are looking for a Sales Manager based in Singapore responsible for managing the shows daily sales performance and sales team. Assisting the Event Director to ensure sales strategies are created and followed. Work with the Event Director to ensure the financial success of the event by introducing sales activities as and when the need arises to hit and exceed show target. Manage and motivate junior staff ensuring the companies standards or performance are met. Train and support junior staff where necessary. Ensure personal and junior sales team member’s targets are exceeded. With the Event Director, liaise with other departments such as operations, marketing and the show team to ensure the smooth running of the event as well as planning and post event responsibilities. Support company senior management team with the smooth running of the company as and when required.

SUMMARY

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business, managing sales accounts, and delivering strong commercial results through the sale of exhibition space, sponsorships, advertising, and fully integrated packages. You will play a pivotal role in executing sales strategies and supporting the development of new value propositions, both individually and as part of a collaborative team. This role involves international sales into market-leading B2B events in the airport industry, with a primary focus on the China market. The Sales Manager reports directly to the Event Director.


Sales Management

  • Lead daily sales activities and set a strong example through personal performance.

  • Deliver assigned revenue targets through the sale of booth space, sponsorship, advertising, and integrated packages by generating new business across all revenue streams, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs set by management.

  • Collaborate with the Event Director on sales strategy execution and commercial planning.

  • Conduct a high volume of outbound sales calls, emails, and meetings in line with defined KPIs, leveraging tools such as Salesforce CRM and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

  • Lead the rebooking and renewal process with existing clients to ensure sustained retention and growth.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM (Salesforce) data and ensure consistent sales pipeline reporting.

  • Track customer activity and competitor intelligence through tools like Google Analytics, reporting insights to management.

  • Submit timely and accurate weekly sales reports (e.g., every Friday).

  • Manage customer accounts payable and support Finance in overdue collections and bad debt resolution.


Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Support the Event Director and Marketing team in implementing exhibitor campaign strategies, including lead generation and sales outreach.

  • Drive direct sales efforts to secure exhibitors and sponsors, using tailored sales decks and materials.

  • Assist in executing marketing activities to help achieve visitor and sponsorship targets.

  • Manage relationships with assigned exhibitors and sponsors to ensure contract fulfillment and satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with the Operations team to deliver exhibitors’ and sponsors’ requirements and ensure smooth event execution.

  • Represent the company on-site during the event to support sponsor activation and resolve any issues promptly.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with key exhibitors, clients, industry associations, media partners, and suppliers.

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer business strategies and needs to deliver tailored and effective solutions.

  • Foster productive and professional relationships with agents to monitor customer pipelines, track revenue targets, and resolve issues proactively.




ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ sales experience, ideally within exhibitions, B2B media, events, or aviation-related sectors.

  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets through effective lead sourcing, sales closing, and new business development with a hunter mentality.

  • Extensive experience managing and maintaining relationships with international customers across diverse regions and cultures.

  • Demonstrated ability to excel and stay focused in fast-paced, high-energy, results-driven sales environments with a proactive, solutions-oriented “can-do” attitude.

  • Ability to clearly articulate value propositions, demonstrate customer ROI, and deliver compelling presentations.

  • Effective negotiation skills with a proactive approach to handling and resolving objections from agents and customers.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, coupled with high enthusiasm and self-motivation.

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin required; additional language skills are advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of Chinese market dynamics and business practices.

  • Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Excel for reporting and analysis.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to engage with customers and market activities.

  • The employee may be required to perform other related duties as assigned by management consistent with the overall purpose of the position.
