We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Accounting Core Capability within the Financial Accounting Tribe. If you enjoy solving complex business challenges, working at the intersection of Finance and Technology, and influencing large-scale change initiatives, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a global organization.

Role Summary

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in translating complex business requirements into scalable accounting solutions. Working within a multidisciplinary Agile squad, you will analyze business processes, assess impacts across the financial landscape, and ensure solutions meet regulatory, operational, and stakeholder needs.

You will act as a trusted Finance representative in end-to-end change initiatives and collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineers, and international business stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial accounting solutions.

About the Team

The Financial Accounting Tribe sits at the heart of ING's financial ecosystem. We transform complex Wholesale and Retail Banking activities into financial records that support accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and business decision-making.

Our teams work on a broad range of initiatives, including new business products, regulatory changes, tax requirements, and process improvement programs. You'll gain exposure to the complete banking value chain while working with experts across Finance, Technology, and Operations.

Required Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Technology, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience within the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Wholesale Banking product accounting concepts.
  • Understanding of banking processes and financial reporting environments.
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis.
  • Proven experience in impact assessments, functional design, and requirements gathering.
  • Experience planning and executing functional, acceptance, and migration testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Translate business requirements into Finance user requirements.
  • Act as the Finance point of contact for strategic change initiatives.
  • Analyze processes, data flows, and accounting impacts.
  • Support backlog refinement and requirements definition.
  • Partner with Technology teams to design and implement solutions.
  • Execute and support testing activities across the change lifecycle.
  • Maintain accounting controls and support financial process integrity.
  • Provide functional support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
